Trump ‘epitomizes what it means to be American,’ says UFC’s Dana White
UFC president Dana White spoke enthusiastically about the newly elected president Trump on Sunday night in Washington with his inauguration just hours away.
White spoke to fans at Capital One Arena – home of the Washington Wizards, Washington Capitals and Georgetown Hoyas – Fr Trump wins the election through every adversity a presidential candidate might face.

“The people have spoken loud and clear. America wants President Trump back in the White House. Think about this: winning this election after everything that’s happened in the last few years is an incredible achievement and an incredible comeback story,” he said.
“Think of all the things President Trump had to go through to get back here. All the powerful forces that tried to bring him down: mainstream media, partisan prosecutors, assassins. It’s absolutely crazy what this man went through. And only President Trump could to fight through all those obstacles, all the attacks and still come out victorious.
In the end, it all comes down to Trump being a “winner,” White said.

“But you know what? That’s just the way he is. This guy is a winner. And I keep saying that. He’s the strongest, most resilient person I’ve ever met and nothing could stop him from fighting hard for the country he loves.
“He embodies what it is to be an American. We are the toughest, most resilient people on Earth and nothing can stop us when we unite.”
White and Trump have deepened their relationship over the years. Trump was one of White’s biggest supporters in the UFC’s early years. On the other hand, White supported Trump’s candidacy for the presidential election.

This time, White spoke at the Republican National Convention and meeting that took place at Madison Square Garden a few days before the election.
