FIRST ON FOX: President-elect Trump reacted Mike Johnson re-election as speaker of the House of Representatives, telling Fox News Digital that the process “brought Republicans even closer together” and said it was a continuation of “Make America Great Again.”
Johnson was re-elected speaker Friday at home.
Sources told Fox News Digital that the president-elect has been in “constant communication” with House Republicans throughout the process. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Trump said he was “greatly honored to help.”
“It’s all a great continuation of ‘Make America Great Again,'” Trump said.

“Mike Johnson will do a fantastic job as speaker,” Trump said. “The Republican membership in the House of Representatives has been fantastic.”
“This process brought them even closer,” he said. “It’s all a reflection of the great 2024 presidential election where we won all seven swing states, the election and everything else that can be won.”
“We will all work together for the overall benefit of the people of our nation,” he said. “Our country will be governed again with strength and common sense.”
