Trimac buys a Watt & Stewart flat mount
Canadian bulk carrier Trimac announced Friday that it has purchased the Watt & Stewart vessel for an undisclosed sum.
Watt & Stewart is a 38-year-old specialty hauler with a fleet of 124 tractors and 205 trailers operating out of locations in Claresholm, Alberta; Lexington, South Carolina; and San Angelo, Texas. The company primarily serves the mining, forestry and manufacturing industries.
It will continue to operate under its current banner and management team as part Trimac brands.
“Watt & Stewart is an outstanding company with a proud history, and we are honored to continue their legacy as we work together to reach new heights…,” said Matt Faure, president and CEO of Trimac, in a press release. “Together, we are better positioned to serve our customers and drive growth across North America.”
Trimac operates in more than 140 locations in the USA and Canada.
The deal was concluded on Wednesday.
