Another collaborative product with Asics
Kiyosa, Japan- (Business Wire) -Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd. (Tokyo: 7282) She has joined with the main sportsman’s producer Asics Corporation to produce Skyhand ™ OG sneakers using leather remains generated in the wheel production process. These sneakers will be available for purchase at Asics online from February 1, 2025.

Toyoda Gosei implements ways to further reduce waste materials by sale of different products under a re-s ethical brand, turning hard into a cycle of fabric of the airbag and steering wheel remnants into bags, pencils and other products. Asics also used recycled materials in his shoes and sportswear.
The current project is the second cooperation of Toyoda Gosei with Asics, after launching sneakers that use the airbag fabric in January 2023. Two companies cooperate at the boundaries of industry under a common philosophy to achieve a sustainable society. To use materials with as little waste as possible, the original techniques are embedded in this project, such as combining small remains in patchwork. This project is used by the remains of a steering wheel that are created at the Toyoda Gosei factory in Vietnam, and Asics uses these remains in shoes produced and Vietnam, reducing not only waste but also CO2 in the transportation of remains.
