Tottenham are working to sign a “diamond in the rough” who scouts have seen score a hat-trick
As the January transfer window ticked away and Dominic Solanke was absent, Tottenham Hotspur they are now reportedly working on a deal to sign the striker who has already impressed their scouts.
Tottenham transfer news
The Lilywhites have only received one fresh face this month in the form of Antonin Kinsky, and it’s a lack of activity that could bite them quickly in the second half of the season.
Ange Postecoglou nor did he shy away from his side’s need for reinforcements, telling reporters as reported by The Standard last week: “I communicate with Johan every day [Lange, technical director] especially and tries everything he can to get the help we need.
“I don’t think I’m stating anything but the obvious and to come here and say anything else would be disingenuous: this playing group needs help.”
Sat in the deep Premier Leaguebottom half, rumors have been coming thick and fast of reinforcements the Lilywhites could turn to this month, including the Ajax star Brian Brobbey and now another attacking option.
According to The Boot Room, Tottenham are now working on signing Hamza Igamane from Rangers this month after scouts were on hand to watch the striker score a hat-trick against Hibernian earlier this year and then score again in a 3-0 win over Aberdeen.
With the striker hitting his best form at the perfect time, Spurs could yet welcome the ideal solution to their attacking woes as Solanke struggles to return to form in the coming weeks.

With just a week left until the transfer window closes, those in north London will need to act quickly if they are to lure Rangers into the January sale and welcome a much-needed fresh face Postecoglouthe front line.
Tottenham should take a risk on the “diamond in the rough” Igamane
While Igamane is still far from the finished product, there is no doubt that he has shown plenty of potential at Rangers – scoring 13 goals in all competitions, including his effort against Spurs in the Europa League. Still only 22 years of age, Spurs should take a chance on the young striker who has already shown exactly what he can do in front of the traveling Spurs fans earlier this season.
He has received plenty of plaudits as a result of his form, the Rangers boss Philippe Clement told reporters when asked about Igamane, as reported by The Daily Mail: “I spoke to a lot of people before I brought Hamza to the club. People in Morocco that I knew from before. I’m happy that people knew him. They said he was a diamond in the rough.”
That “diamond in the rough” now shines brighter than ever and could yet steal the show in north London if Spurs go ahead and seal Igamane’s signature before the deadline this month.
