Tottenham are internally discussing hijacking Aston Villa’s negotiations for the £21m forward
Tottenham Hotspur chiefs are talking about raiding Aston Villa transfer talks for the striker in January, and he could be a good alternative to the widely reported target Randal Kolo Muani if they can’t make a deal with PSG.

Kinsky became only the second shot-stopper to keep a clean sheet against Liverpool in all competitions this season, after Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels, with the 21-year-old making six saves on the night to shut out Arne Slott’s side in a 1-0 win.
Spurs now have the advantage ahead of the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at Anfield, with the technical director Johan LangeHis work to sign Kinsky has already paid off in earnest.
However, the Dane is by no means finished there Tottenham are looking for a new winger and have turned to Kolo Muani from PSG as an ideal January signature – considering its quality, versatility and availability.
This is confirmed by a reliable transfer journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic, who wrote on X that the Lilywhites are considered the main contenders for his signature before the deadline.
The French national team member is the mainstay of Didier Deschamps’ Les Bleus team since the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Kolo Muani also boasts three goals in his last five games for France, but his luck has been severely reversed at club level for PSG.

The 26-year-old is out of Luis Enrique’s plans at the Parc des Princes and has been completely left out of their last two squads for Ligue 1 games. His exit seems inevitable but Spurs also have to compete with Man United and Juventus for the services of Kolo Muani.
If Postecoglou’s side potentially lose out on the former Eintracht Frankfurt star, then they appear to be considering Borussia Dortmund Donyell Malen.
Tottenham are internally discussing a swoop for Aston Villa for Donyell Malen
The Dutchman, who has 41 caps for the Netherlands, finished last season as Dortmund’s top scorer with 15 goals in all competitions – and his contract expires in 2026.
Aston Villa increased their offer to £21m this weekmaking him a seemingly affordable option for Spurs, although Villa are believed to have been in talks for some time and have been given the go-ahead by the player.
That said, there is clearly still a gap in valuations between the clubs, and CaughtOffside’s report states that Tottenham are internally discussing the possibility of hijacking Villa’s negotiations for Malen.
Postecoglou’s fans are believed to be real fans of the 25-year-old, who can play on either flank and also as a striker. Malen also scored and assisted against Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier this season, showing that he can play at the highest possible level.
