These are the 15 fastest growing jobs in Australia in 2025
The fastest growing roles in Australia are in the education, travel and hospitality sectors — with titles such as English teacher, waiter and travel specialist taking the top spots LinkedIn’s List of Growing Jobs for 2025.
“IN in 2024we’ve seen a strong focus on technology and engineering roles, with positions such as cybersecurity analyst, platform engineer and integration engineer leading the way [in Australia],” said LinkedIn career expert Cayla Dengate CNBC Make It.
While these remain key sectors, “the shift towards hospitality, travel and education in 2025 reflects wider economic and social trends,” Dengate said. “This includes the recovery from the pandemic and the increasing importance of soft skills and continuous learning.”
Significantly, “English teacher” is ranked as the fastest growing role in Australia. This was driven by a variety of factors such as the increasing need for English language skills as the country’s international student population grows, Dengate said.
The resurgence seen in these sectors may represent an opportunity for job seekers looking to enter or re-enter the workforce, she added.
LinkedIn’s 2025 “Jobs on the Rise” report has identified the fastest-growing job titles in Australia over the past three years, based on an analysis of the millions of jobs posted by LinkedIn members from January 2022 to July 2024.
