Kathie Lee Gifford He talks about how President Donald Trump saved her and his newborn daughter from a dangerous stalker.
During the recent interview with the “The Sage Steele Show”, the 71-year-old TV personality became emotional as she remembered the incident 31 years ago. Gifford said she and her daughter Cassidy were on the way to Atlantic City, where Gifford should have hosted the “Miss America” competition when her late husband Frank Gifford was informed that he had received death threat.
“The FBI called my husband, and they said, ‘Mr. Gifford, we have a problem. There is this guy. This is a very, very bad human being. [He] was a psychopathic killer – a rapist and a killer. And it comes for your wife, “she shared.

Former “Live! With Regis and Kathie Lee” host Saele said she had just gave birth to Cassidy six weeks earlier. Gifford, along with her daughter and nanny, she was about to go to the van to drive for three hours to Atlantic City when Frank received an invitation from the FBI. She said the FBI asked Frank to continue his family with their original plans so as not to leave the suspect.
“They said,” We would like to, Mr. Gifford, just keep your schedule and keep your wife’s schedule, because this guy don’t want to know we’re on it, “” Gifford said.
Gifford said the FBI had informed Frank that the man “raped and tortured” his own aunt. She explained that the aunt man was able to escape long enough to call the police.
“Because of this, I will love this man all my life.”

Emmy Award winner recalled that Frank told the FBI that he would not agree to his request that he and Gifford hold their usual schedule until they made one call.

Gifford explained that she was always staying on Trump’s plateau and a casino when she was in Atlantic City, which made it easier for a man to know her location.
“Frank called Donald and said,” Donald, we have this situation, “Gifford recalled.
“And that’s why I’ll love this man all my life,” she said Trump as she wrapped. “He said,” Frank, don’t worry about it. I have your girls. I have your girls. And don’t worry. “

Gifford said that at the time she “knew nothing” about the threat and was surprised when she received a call from Trump, who told her to send her helicopter to take her to his hotel.

After arrived in the lobby, Gifford was stunned when she saw a newspaper heading about her death threat. She contacted the organizers of the competition, who asked her if she re -examined hosting and performed at the event for threat.

Gifford said she went to the competition and then took home the other way. She later realized that the FBI officer kept his son Cody, who was 3 years old, at her house in Connecticut. Gifford said the next day that she and Cody went to the movies, where she was informed by the FBI, who kept her, that the man was caught.
“In the middle of the movie, one of the FBI guys comes and leaves,” Mrs. Gifford, we got this son B-“,” She recalled, “I said,” Thank you very much. “”

At the beginning of the episode, Gifford explained that she rarely shared a story about how Trump helped her because she was deceased Rev. Billy Graham He warned her long ago to stay out of politics.

However, she explained that she still “hates politics” and does not like part of Trump’s rhetoric.
