Theo Von Attends Trump’s ‘Inspiring’ Inauguration, Declares Time for ‘America First’
Popular podcast host and comedian Theo Von described Monday’s inauguration of President Donald Trump as “inspiring,” saying he “felt lucky” to be there.
Vaughn, who attended an exclusive viewing of Trump’s swearing-in ceremony at the US Capitol building along with other prominent influencers and business leaders, told Fox News Digital that attending the ceremony made him realize how much he appreciates being in a free country.
“I was happy to see the inauguration. It’s inspiring, and I felt blessed that God allowed me to live in a suffrage country this time,” he said.
Von nabbed one of the biggest podcast interviews of 2024, hosting then-GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on the Aug. 20 episode of “Last Weekend with Theo Vaughn.” The comedian’s podcast is currently the third most popular podcast on the audio streaming platform Spotify.
Influential cultural figures and podcast hosts like Von and Joe Rogan – who was also a special guest at the inauguration – are to their credit key components to Trump’s election victory.
In his statement to Fox, the comedian made several other observations about the inauguration ceremony, including praise for members of the First and Second Families.
He particularly noted the historic significance of Usha Vance becoming “Indian’s FIRST second lady,” explaining that it was “awesome to see.”
“With a broken heart, I didn’t manage to get to know each other [Barron]” Vonn added of the president’s youngest son. He was also in awe of First Lady Melania Trump’s presence, saying, “Melania looked beautiful.”

Von mentioned to Fox that he considers himself “pretty centrist,” but said he resonated with one of the underlying messages Trump’s inaugural speech.
“It’s time to put America first,” the comedian said, referring to Trump’s pledge to “simply put America first” every day of his administration.
The comedian also highlighted several things he hoped Trump would push for in his second term, namely relief for Palestinians suffering amid Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
“I wonder if Trump plans to help rebuild Palestine after the genocide there. I pray that we help those people,” he said.
Von said he also wants to see “transparency in hospital and healthcare pricing” going forward.
The comedian also went viral for his statements about his ex President Biden’s departure from the office he sent to X on Tuesday. Von offered his condolences to the elderly former president and reprimanded his handlers.
“This morning I am praying for relaxation and health for Joe Biden,” he wrote. “Let him get the rest and peace and rest he deserves. Imagine puppeteering a severely cognitively impaired senior citizen for his own selfish desires. To me, that’s clearly what’s going on. It’s torture and heartbreaking.”
He added: “If someone had EVER done that to my father or my grandfather I would have screamed alive [s—] outside of them. I hope the world knows that most of us Americans are better people than that. That we don’t treat the elderly like that. But we were powerless to stop it.”
When asked about X’s announcement, Von told Fox: “It wasn’t really a political thing. I’m pretty centrist. I’ve never met Biden. I don’t know what he’s like.”
“It’s just more of a human thing, I think. I’m just happy that he’s going to have a quieter life. That he’s free now.”
