The ‘Wheel of Fortune’ contestant ‘caught on’ with Ryan Seacrest during an intense round

“Wheel of Fortune” host Ryan Seacrest was knocked to the ground after an over-excited contestant competed in the favorite game for the top cash prize.

A Pittsburgh native named Daniel showed how stoked he was after an intense bonus round during Tuesday night’s episode.

The category was “Living Creatures” and Daniel chose the letters H, G, D and O. After being left with G _ _ _ _ ES, the Wheel of Fortune contestant beat the buzzer in what viewers called a “crazy” “moment.

After the player hit “Guppies,” Daniel jumped up and down in excitement before hugging Seacrest and accidentally knocking him over.

After Seacrest was pushed to the ground, Daniel continued to question the host if he was okay.

Seacrest is convinced he, “I’m fine, I’m fine.”

The “Wheel of Fortune” announcer was heard saying, “Daniel, take it easy on our host, but celebrate with $40,000,” as the contestant took home the top prize.

Seacrest, 50, was seen clutching his back in pain, moving away from Daniel as he approached the host.

“Did I fall because of me?” he asked again, as the host hid behind the mini steering wheel as he announced that Daniel was taking home a total of $71,950 for his total game winnings.

After Seacrest and Daniel hugged, the host jokingly grimaced in pain and said, “Vanna, you have to take over, but how did you do it at the last second?”

“Push you or solve a puzzle?” Daniel laughed and then apologized to Seacrest once more.

The “American Idol” host replied, “No, don’t worry, I loved it.”

The official “Wheel of Fortune” YouTube account shared a recap of the bizarre moment, with Seacrest beginning the clip saying, “Drop me, catch me, I’m fine,” along with longtime co-host Vanna White.

In game shows Instagram account, the caption for the recap video read, “Tagging this video for when we see an influx of people fighting Ryan on the show,” along with a laughing emoji.

Fans were quick to comment on Seacrest’s fall on “Wheel of Fortune.”

“We’re glad Ryan is OK,” he said official “Danger!” The Instagram account wrote on the video.

Another viewer commented: “That kit is worth a lot of money!”

“Yay Ryan. Well done Daniel!!!” a fan remarked.

A “Wheel of Fortune” fan wrote: “Ok I really couldn’t understand this game, the last few bonus round solutions the contestants have been solving with VERY FEW letters this season, the solutions have been CRAZY.”

In June 2023, former longtime host Pat Sajak announced that he was leaving the show. A week later, it was announced that Seacrest would take over as host for season 42.

After Sajak’s final episode aired in 2024, Seacrest moved on social media to say goodbye to the longtime host.

“Pat, congratulations on an amazing ride on Wheel of Fortune! Your dedication, charm and wit have made the show a beloved part of American television for decades,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of himself, Sajak and White.
