‘The View’ co-host Joy Behar is already missing Biden as she prepares to leave office
“The View” co-host Joy Behar already mourned President Biden’s absence from the White House Thursday after the president’s farewell address, saying, “I miss him already.”
“I miss him. He’s a good person. You know, he spent the last 50 years taking care of the country. This other one [Donald Trump] he spent 50 years cheating everybody, you know, and trying to stay out of jail. You know who I’m talking about. I really miss Biden. I feel like we’re safe, like I don’t have to worry, is something going to explode? I was able to live my life while he was there,” Behar said.
“Every day I wake up and worry, what’s this guy going to do next?” she said of incoming President-elect Donald Trump.
On Wednesday, Biden gave a farewell address that lasted target the “oligarchs”.
In his farewell address, the president warned Americans that there is a “dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-rich people.”
“I want to warn the country about some things that worry me a lot. … It is a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-rich people. Dangerous consequences if their abuse of power goes unchecked,” he said.
Leaders of the liberal media praised the president’s speech, which commentators called one of the “best,” “most memorable” and “sobering” speeches of his life.
MSNBC host Rachel Maddow focused primarily on parts of Biden’s speech that warned of a tech “oligarchy” threatening the country and concerns about a free press after Meta announced it was ending fact-checking on its social media platforms.
“It’s stark and sobering, and, like I said, it sent chills down my spine,” Maddow said. “I think he’s right and I’m glad he took the time to say that.”

Behar, a big Biden fan and big Trump critic, also called out country music star Carrie Underwood on Tuesday for agreeing to play at Trump’s inauguration.
“She says ‘I love our country’. How do you love your country and support and normalize someone who was a convicted felon who really wants to destroy the country, I don’t understand how you say you love your country at the same time you normalize this convicted felon? Behar said.

“I wouldn’t be the person to say don’t do it, because I believe in free speech and everything about it. I personally wouldn’t do it. Nobody asked me, but that’s another story,” Behar said, noting that she would never perform in person at Trump’s inauguration.
