Israel’s military has reported a sharp rise in suicides since the start of the Gaza war, adding that thousands of soldiers have stopped serving in combat roles due to mental disorders. The trend has prompted the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to adopt new preventive measures after 15 months of conflict that has mobilized hundreds of thousands of reservists.
