A new report claims it’s “brilliant” Everton the player has been offered to a club playing in the Champions League and his time at Goodison Park is potentially coming to an end.
Everton beat Spurs in a fantastic first half at Goodison
The Blues pulled off one of their most impressive wins of the season on Sunday afternoon, beating Tottenham 3-2 at home in Premier League. True, the result was mild towards the guests, with David Moyes‘ team that led 3-0 by halftime.
This was such an important result for Everton, who have been dragged into relegation once again, and hopefully this will act as a catalyst for them to continue in the coming months. The new signings could also be a big boost in that regard, with the Merseysiders continuing to be linked with additions.
One report claims the Blues are ready to hold talks with the Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell due to a loan move to Goodison in the January transfer window, after finding his playing time at Stamford Bridge extremely limited this season. The possible departure of Armand Broja this month could free up a loan slot for them to bring in the England international.
Another Chelsea player, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hallhe has also been backed to seal a move to the club this month, as he too looks for a new challenge, having failed to feature in Enzo Maresca’s plans this season. The 26-year-old could add much-needed guile in midfield.
“Brilliant” Everton player offered to big club
According to the new update of Gazzetta dello Sport [via Sport Witness], Everton striker Beto has been offered to European giants AC Milan by his agents, with the report rather cynically suggesting that attempts by the player and his representatives to leave had become “childish”.
The 26-year-old has been consistently linked with a move away from the club this month, and now the Italian side must weigh up whether or not they want to sign him. As it stands now, they are not overly optimistic, and Torino is still the first seed.
Wherever £50,000 a week With Beto in charge this month, it makes sense for his time at Everton to come to a natural end, having never fully convinced the masses since joining from Udinese in the summer of 2023.
The striker has scored only eight goals in 53 appearances for the Blues, but that doesn’t mean he was bad, with Theo Walcott saluting him after a late draw at home to Fulham earlier this season.
“Beto was just a slightly different player that Bassey and Diop had to deal with. He was getting into the right areas and creating a different problem for Fulham’s back line. He got into some good positions and it was a relief when he did to get his goal. It was great to see.”

However, Beto has never quite kept up with the pace of the Premier League and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin returning to scoring form against Spurs, we hope he can continue and be a key attacking figure for Everton again. An upgrade at the outgoing forward should also come this month, however, in order to maintain good squad depth in that area.
