The 45-year-old “very good communicator” now wants to replace Clement at Rangers
Rangers who are thought to have a “very good communicator” on their roster that they could replace Philippe Clement as a manager, according to the new manager update.

Clement was under constant pressure keep his job for a while, and fans remained dissatisfied with the lack of positive effects in Scottish Premiership race for the title.
Granted, the Belgian inspired his Rangers side to a thrilling 3-0 win at home to rivals Celtic on Thursday afternoon, taking some of the heat off him, but there’s no doubt he still has a lot more to do to fully convince the masses.
Clement’s current struggles mean other managers are naturally being linked with his replacement at Ibrox, with a number of individuals thrown into the mix, including the former player Kevin MuscatKilmarnock manager Derek McInnes and former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
On the plus side for the current Rangers boss, the club’s financial situation is likely to make it difficult for them to sack him, which could give him more time to turn things around than might otherwise be the case.
The Rangers have been eyeing the Clement spot for 45 years
According to Football Insider, Steve Cooper is among the frontrunners to replace Clement as Rangers manager and is delighted with the job, with the 45-year-old most recently managing Leicester City, before being sacked.
He sees the Gers job as an “attractive opportunity despite the off-field issues” happening at the club and wants to move, but is not the only target. McInnes, Muscat and Russell Martin are also believed to be among the top four contenders.
Cooper would be an interesting appointment from Rangers, although some fans may be put off by a failed stint at Leicester – the one he was last at 14 games main at the King Power Stadium.

The Englishman has mostly done a superb job in charge of Nottingham Forest, leading them from the Championship to Premier League in 2021/22, with Keith Andrews speaking about him in 2021:
“So when you look at what they’ve been doing in the last few weeks and the type of person Steve Cooper is, it amazes me that he’s a very good communicator, he’s very good one-on-one with players, even players who are outside the team, he’s always easy to handle with the players who don’t play when you’re winning, when you’re not winning when the pressure is on, because that’s when the players get serious and knock on the door and ask harder questions.”
Cooper also famously won the Under-17 World Cup with England in 2017, leading a side that included Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho, further outlining his pedigree and his style of play and preferred Formation 4-2-3-1 could attract Rangers supporters.
