Taiwanese stocks rise at close of trade; Taiwan rose 0.53% according to Investing.com
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors propelled shares higher.
It rose 0.53% at the close in Taiwan.
The best performers of the session were Champion Microelectronic Corp (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 5.00 points to trade at 55.00 at the close. Meanwhile, New Asia Construction & Development Corp (TW:) added 9.91% or 1.60 points to end at 17.75 and Castle International Development Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.89% or 3.05 points to trade at 33.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Taiwan Taffeta Fabric Co Ltd (TW:), which fell 7.67% or 1.25 points to trade at 15.05 at the close. Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:) declined 6.89% or 17.50 points to end at 236.50 and Chung Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:) declined 5.56% or 2.00 points to 34.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange 0 to 0.
Shares of New Asia Construction & Development Corp (TW:) rose to an all-time high; up 9.91% or 1.60 to 17.75.
Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.08% or 0.06 to $77.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery was down 0.22%, or 0.18, at $80.61 a barrel, while February gold futures were up 0.02%, or 0.46, at 2,749. .16 USD per troy ounce.
USD/TWD fell 0.44% to 32.78, while TWD/CNY was unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
US dollar index futures fell 0.21% to 108.97.
