Saints’ Cam Jordan donates $25,000 to a fund to help victims of the terrorist attack in New Orleans
New Orleans Saints star defensive end Cam Jordan donated to a fund for the victims of the terrorist attack that took place on Bourbon Street in the wee hours of New Year’s Day.
Jordan wrote on social media that he donated $25,000 New Year’s Tragedy Fund.

“I’m joining the @GNOFoundation and @CityOfNOLA in donating $25,000 to the New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund to support the victims of the attack,” Jordan wrote on X. “Please consider donating to help the families of those who lost their lives and those who were seriously injured .”
The Greater New Orleans Foundation established the fund after the terrorist attack that took place in the city.
“The Greater New Orleans Foundation is joining the City of New Orleans and other community partners to launch the New Orleans New Year’s Day Tragedy Fund to assist victims and survivors of a mass casualty incident on New Year’s Day 2025,” the fund’s description reads.

“Around 3:15 a.m. on New Year’s Day, a man driving a white pickup plowed into a crowd on Bourbon Street as revelers gathered after a New Year’s Eve party. The FBI is now investigating the mass casualty incident as an act of terrorism.”
At least 15 people were killed, and several more injured in the attack.

The attack forced the postponement of the Sugar Bowl, which was now scheduled to take place at Caesars Superdome at 4:00 PM ET.
