‘Rest beautiful girl’ – Tributes pour in as internet reacts to rising TikTok star Siyah’s alleged death
Rising TikTok star Siyah, better known as @s1yahhh._ on the platform and Instagram, has reportedly passed away at the age of 17. Streamer and content creator Messy Maj, aka @messymajj on Instagram, shared the alleged news on the social networking site on January 20.
“#majmobers: Let’s send our condolences and prayers to the loved ones of #Siyah! She allegedly died at the age of 17 from armed violence,” reads the title of his post.
Pictures of Siyah accompanied the headline with screenshots of two news reports, one from CBS News and the other from loscerritonews.net. The latter read:
“There was a shooting last night in the Los Cerritos Center parking lot near Chipotle. The incident took place in a vehicle in which there were several people, probably associated with the gang. One of the passengers in the vehicle was shot, probably accidentally: the victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening wounds.”
Loscerritosnews.net added,
“The other passengers in the vehicle were detained. There are no outstanding suspects. LASD secured that portion of the parking lot for investigation.”
Meanwhile, a CBS News article confirmed that the gunshot victim was a woman. However, her identification remained undisclosed at the time of publication.
Majj also shared a screenshot of a woman’s Instagram Story claiming to be the mother of @s1yahhh._ which featured a picture of a TikToker from her senior year, with the caption:
“RIP Siyah Girl, Mama loves you always and forever!!!”
A young man and Siyah’s alleged boyfriend who goes by the name @dylannn1k also mourned the alleged TikTokers ruin on a series of Instagram stories, according to Maj’s screenshots.
Afterwards, Messy Majj as well as fans of @s1yahhh._ claimed she was the one who was allegedly shot and killed as tributes started pouring in.
For example, TikTok user @mstooboujiee commented on @s1yahhh._’s last post on the platform, writing:
“I joined TikTok and this is the first video on my feed. Rest beautiful girl.”
Many people joined the conversation and shared theirs honors on the platform.
More on Siyah after her alleged death
On Monday, streamer and podcaster Messy Majj shared a post on Instagram claiming that Siyah had allegedly died from gun violence.
Along with CBS News and loscerritosnews.net, he also shared a reel featuring various TikToker moments (pictures and videos) with the words “long live Siyah” written on it.
The reel was created by another aspiring TikTok star, @505edits._. and had Rod Wave’s Last round plays in the background.
Meanwhile, Messy Majj also shared screenshots of @s1yahhh._’s alleged boyfriend’s Instagram stories. @dylannn1k shared back-to-back pics with his alleged TikToker girl. In one he wrote,
“I could never imagine never seeing you again, you literally mean everything in the world to me. I won’t be able to do it without you, as fuck. There are no words to describe how much I love you, like I really wish it was a dream, you really showed me what love is.”
He continued:
“I really feel like I met my soulmate, you are my world and forever will be, I love you forever.”
@dylannn1k also mentioned “losing” @s1yahhh._ on his “birthday,” adding that he would do anything to “switch places” with her. He also expressed that he was badly injured and that he was missing him allegedly of late girl.
Significantly, Siyah’s Instagram and TikTok accounts are also full of tributes.
According to a Jan. 18 CBS News article titled “Woman Found Shot in Car Outside Los Cerritos Center,” a woman was discovered shot in a car outside the Los Cerritos Center mall in California Saturday night around 7:30 p.m. local time.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the armed violence incident in that area. When they arrived, they found her “unconscious and not breathing.” The woman’s condition, identity and possible suspects or their motive have not been confirmed.
Rising TikTok star Siyah has over 149,600 followers on TikTok with over 6.1 million views. She was also popular on Instagram, where she had over 21,600 followers.
