Indian fast ball Jasprit Bumrah was awarded a prestigious prize ICC TEST CRISKER OF THE YEAR FOR MEN 2024 The award, as published by the Supreme Body for Cricket on Monday, January 27th. This recognition comes after the star year in which Bumrah showed his exceptional talent and consistency on the international scene.
“Bumrah was the best ball in the world in the world in 2024, brilliant at home and in guests and proved that he had crucially contributed to the maintenance of India in the competition in the ICC World Cup in tests.” ICC stated in a press release.
An extraordinary performance with a ball
Bumrah continued to show his skills in the test crice during 2024, consolidating his position of one of the world’s best fast -folded balls. During the strenuous calendar year, Bumrah performed in 13 tests, providing consistently impressive performance, especially in challenging conditions.

Bumrah’s extraordinary performance arrived in South Africa and Australia, where his pace and precision broke the strong stunts. Against South Africa in Cape Town, the right Seaamer recorded the figures of 2/6 and 6/24, leading India to a comprehensive victory. In Australia he showed his brilliance, especially in Brisbane, where he is won 6/42 in the first change and added 3 more in the second.
Finished with 71 doors in 13 test matches
Under home conditions, Bumrah has also proven to be effective. Against England in Hyderabad, he won 6 doors in the match, helping India in a dominant victory. His performances against Bangladesh and New Zealand have shown his ability to adjust to different terrains, contributing significantly to both the new ball and the later stages of changes.
During 2024 Bumrah made critical shifts at key moments, ending up with 71 doors. His consistency, sharp ejectors and deceptive Yorkers made him the winner of the match, further consolidating his heritage in the Indian cryr.
