The January transfer window is already well under way, Manchester City have already seemingly left their mark, with reports in one target’s home country now claiming he has signed for Premier League champions.

They currently sit outside the Premier League’s top four and are shockingly on course to miss out on the Champions League for the first time under Pep Guardiola. This has arguably been the worst season of the Spaniard’s tenure so far, and arguably even his entire managerial career, which underlines the ever-higher standards he can hold himself to.
However, there is still time for the Citizens to somewhat salvage their season, with the January transfer window likely to play a major role. Names such as Martin Zubimendi have been mentioned in the build-up to this month – and there’s no doubt he would solve their current midfield problem without Rodrigo – but a new name has emerged recently who could yet steal the headlines.
According to the main Egyptian publication Youm7, Omar Marmoush has already signed for Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt which would be a January transfer window deal at this early stage.
Meanwhile, adding fuel to the fire, Mohamed Murad – the supposed spokesman for the Egyptian national team – is the winger congratulated following the completion of a £50m move.

It remains to be seen whether those reports prove to be true, with Ben Jacobs of GiveMeSport quick to dismiss any rumors that Marmoush has already signed for Manchester City, claiming they have an interest in the Frankfurt star, but just to officially access and, therefore, nothing is yet at an advanced stage.
With that said, it’s fair to say that the transfer season is finally underway as those at the Etihad potentially await their first signing of the crucial period.
