Player ratings as McAtee’s hat-trick inspires convincing FA Cup win

James McAtee was the hat-trick hero as Manchester City cruised into the fourth round FA Cup dismantling Salford City 8-0 at the Etihad Stadium.

Nico O’Reilly extended the lead before half-time, quickly curling into the bottom corner after a free-kick and a pass from the impressive Doku.

Jack Grealish was awarded a penalty minutes into the second half and fired home from 12 yards – his first goal of the season – before McAtee took center stage.

The attacking midfielder brilliantly headed home Doku’s cross to make it five for Citybefore the latter extended their lead after winning another penalty – Salford defender Curtis Tilt was booked for saving Doku’s shot on goal.

McAtee scored twice before the final whistle, rounding off a brilliant performance from City against a side hoping to go away from League Two as champions.
