Newcastle predicted line-up against Bournemouth
Newcastle United can secure a record tenth straight win in all competitions when they host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Magpies have been in exceptional form over the past month. They have one foot in the Carabao Cup final, have entered the fourth round of the FA Cup and are currently in the Champions League qualifying places in the league. Things couldn’t be much rosier on Tyneside.
Bournemouth will prove a challenging obstacle to overcome and are themselves unbeaten in ten matches, but Eddie Howe has his side playing with supreme confidence all over the pitch and they will be significant favorites on Saturday.
Here’s how Newcastle could stand against Višanje.
GK: Martin Dubravka – There has been plenty of speculation over Dubravka’s future due to interest from Saudi Arabia, but the Slovakian goalkeeper has proved decisive in the absence of regular first choice Nick Pope.
RB: Tino Livramento – The former Chelsea youngster replaced Kieran Trippier, earning him the status of the club’s primary right-back. He will need to step up defensively against the troublesome Antoine Semeny on Saturday.
CB: Fabian Schar – Suspension and illness have forced Schar to sit out recent Premier League games, although he featured in the FA Cup last weekend. The Swiss should be available against Bournemouth as Newcastle look for a sixth clean sheet in eight games.
CB: Sven Botman – The Dutch defender was powerful on his return, quickly rediscovering his form after a long injury lay-off. Earned a valuable vacation over the weekend FA Cup win over Bromley.
LB: Lewis Hall – The 20-year-old has been relentless in both halves this season, increasing his attacking output as Newcastle find their swagger in the final third.
CM: Bruno Guimaraes – Newcastle’s classy Brazilian rarely makes a mistake and is expected to dominate the midfield battle against an injury-hit Bournemouth side.
CM: Sandro Tonali – The return of Tonali after a long ban was a turnaround for Newcastle, who added another world-class midfielder to their engine room.
CM: Joelinton – Fighting and tireless, you know exactly what to expect from Joelinton. The Brazilian provides unrivaled energy and muscle in the center of the park, proving the perfect goal to silkier operators.
RW: Jacob Murphy – One goal and four assists in the last six matches speak for themselves. Murphy may never be the most glamorous name on the team’s roster, but he is consistent in his final third production and relentless work rate.
ST: Aleksandar Isak – Isak can score in the ninth consecutive Premier League game on Saturdaywhich would bring him close to Jamie Vardy’s streak of 11 goals. He is probably the most prepared striker in Europe.
LW: Anthony Gordon – The Swede from Newcastle may be grabbing the headlines, but Gordon has been just as significant in their impressive rise in form. The former Everton winger has now scored five in his last six games and is enjoying a four-game scoring run of his own.
