Pakistan left-handed batsman Mohammad Nawaz and Bangladesh pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib were involved in a heated argument during the Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 (BPL 2024-25) match between Khulna Tigers and Sylhet Strikers on Sunday, January 12.
Khulna Tigers batsman Mohammad Nawaz overcame his emotions while Sylhet Strikers pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib lost his cool before a heated war of words during Match 17 of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League 2024-25 (BPL 2024-25) in Sylhet.

The incident took place on the first ball of the 17th over of Khulna Tigers vs Sylhet Strikers in the BPL 2024-25 match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet. Tanzim bowled a slow delivery and it worked as Nawaz was caught by Zakir Hasan at fine leg.

As the Pakistani batsman departed for 33 runs off 18 balls, including 3 fours and 2 sixes, Tanzim said something to Nawaz as he approached him. And then the real drama began, as Mohammad Nawaz shouldered into Tanzim Hasan Sakib, who was enraged by the action of the Pakistani batsman.
Both players went back at each other after their paths crossed and got into a verbal altercation after Nawaz marched furiously towards the Bangladeshi pacer. However, the pitch intervened and separated the two players.
However, Nawaz and Tanzim were not ready to end their verbal exchange, but the Sylhet Strikers players made sure there was no more drama between the players, taking him towards the floor.

The incident was just a reminder of the Virat Kohli-Sam Konstas incident during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 between India and Australia. However, Konstas revealed that Kohli had inadvertently shouldered him after the entire episode during the fourth Test at the MCG.
Sylhet Strikers beat Khulna Tigers by 8 wickets in BPL 2024-25 clash
Talking about the BPL 2024-25 match, Sylhet Strikers posted 182/5 on the board in their 20 overs, thanks to a stunning innings by Rony Talukdar and Zakir Hasan against Khulna Tigers. While Talukdar made 56 runs off 44 balls, Zakir scored an incredible knock of 75 runs off just 46 balls in Sylhet.

Abu Hider and Ziaur Rahman took two wickets each for the Tigers. Chasing a target, Khulna Tigers got off to a great start, but the wickets kept falling at the other end. William Bosisto (43) and Mohammad Nawaz (33) were the top scorers for the Tigers against the Strikers.
Mahidul Islam Ankon also played a handy knock of 28 runs but most players failed to face even 15 balls and in the end Khulna Tigers suffered a heavy eight-wicket defeat against Sylhet Strikers in the BPL 2024-25 match at Sylhet International Stadium for cricket in sylhet.
Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Reece Topley and Ruyel Miah claimed two wickets each while Nahidul Islam claimed one wicket to help Sylhet Strikers’ big win over Khulna Tigers. Namely, Sylhet Strikers will next face Chittagong Kings in the 19thth Bangladesh Premier League Match 2024-25 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on January 13.
