Pep is rebuilding his team
Pep Guardiola was rebuilding his team this month, because they were far below the level of u Premier League this season, and it seems that the number of new arrivals could be inevitable.
Deal for Eintracht Frankfurt Omar Marmoush needs to be completed soon, with Guardiola looking to strengthen his attacking options, while a bid in the region of £55m is also being prepared for Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso.
Defensive duo Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov should also arrive at the Etihad Stadium in the very near future, with Pep looking to strengthen his squad in a number of areas – and now there are indications he could also be looking to bring in a new goalkeeper.

According to a report by Football Transfer, Man City have now identified FC Porto’s Diogo Costa as their top target between the sticks, with the deal more likely to happen in the summer rather than January.
The 25-year-old has been named first-choice to replace Ederson next season, with the Brazilian’s starting spot now under major threat from Stefano Ortega.
The Sky Blues have already made contact and begun negotiations to sign Costa, highlighting the fact that they have a concrete interest in signing him, and a potential move is reportedly now gaining momentum.
If Guardiola brings in the Porto goalkeeper this summer, Ederson could move to the Saudi Pro League, where numerous lucrative offers are on the table.
Diogo Costa could be the perfect successor to Ederson
It is exciting news that City have chosen the Portuguese international as their main target, as he has produced some very impressive performances in his native country for several years.
The Swiss-born goalkeeper is located in the 97th percentile for his clean sheet percentage at 90 over the past year, while also ranking in the 95th percentile for goals scored compared to positional peers, per FBref.
The Porto academy graduate has experience in the Champions League, which is another bonus, and he also received praise for his performances in the competition from football scout Jacek Kulig, who labeled him “Superman”.
Ederson has been a fantastic servant for City, playing a key role in the success of the Guardiola era, but the emergence of Ortega as a starter may indicate that the Brazilian’s best years are now behind him.
As such, the reigning Premier League champions should be looking for Costa this summer, as he has proven he is ready to sign for one of Europe’s top clubs.
