JPMorgan says to leave Net-Zero Banking Alliance By Reuters

LONDON (Reuters) – JPMorgan said on Tuesday it had decided to leave the Net-Zero Banking Alliance, the latest exit from the sector’s biggest climate coalition amid mounting U.S. political pressure.

“We will continue to work independently to advance the interests of our company, our shareholders and our customers and will remain focused on pragmatic solutions to help further low-carbon technologies while improving energy security,” a company spokesperson said in a statement.

“We will also continue to support the banking and investment needs of our clients who are involved in the energy transition and decarbonization of various sectors of the economy.”

Goldman Sachs left the alliance in December.
