Jordan Henderson allegedly vowed to stay in Ajax by the summer after giving up on his request to join Monaka.
According to the Daily de Telegrafa based in Amsterdam, the former English international yesterday told the club that he would no longer play for them if they had not allowed him to move to Monte Carlo in this transfer window.
Henderson was subsequently taken away from the captain, but still played in last night’s Europa League win over Galatasaray.
However, according to De Telegraf, Henderson performed a complete turnaround and, speaking after the match in the locker room, informed the club that he would stay until the end of the season.

The 34-year-old joined Ajax 12 months ago after an unfortunate magic in Saudi Arabia and succeeded, helping them another place in Eredivisie behind PSV Eindhoven.
And his initial willingness to jump in the ship was angry with former Ajax defender Frank de Boer, who criticized Henderson that he had not faced the media and explained his actions.
Said Ziggo Sport: “Henderson does not have to appear in front of the camera before the game. It can only focus on the game and then appear in front of the camera.
“This is nonsense. Henderson has other things in mind and does not feel like he is answering.”
Sneijder invites Henderson to “be a man”
Ex-Ajax and Real Madrid midfielder Wesley Sneijder was equally impressed and was confused why Henderson did not wear a ribbon against Galatasaray without any proper explanation or from the club.
