Israel blocks thousands of Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza over truce dispute – National

Israel has prevented thousands of Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza, accusing Hamas of violating the terms of a fragile truce by changing the order of hostages it announced.

Local health officials said Sunday that Israeli forces fired into the crowd, killing two people and wounding nine.

Israeli forces also opened fire in Lebanon on protesters demanding their withdrawal by a Sunday deadline under a separate ceasefire deal with the Hezbollah militant group, killing at least 22 people and wounding more than 120.

And US President Donald Trump has suggested that the majority of Gaza’s population should be temporarily relocated to the “clean only” enclave that has been torn apart by the war.
