IPL team owner calls for sacking Gautam Gambhir after BGT 2024-25 debacle
Delhi Capitals co-owner Parth Jindal lashed out at Indian national cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir after the team lost 3-1 in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He said it was high for the BCCI to keep different coaching staff for the white ball and red ball teams.
Indian national cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir was under high spirits after the team’s shambolic outing in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The Rohit Sharma-led side suffered a disappointing 3-1 series defeat and were also eliminated from the ongoing cycle of the World Test Championship.
Gautam Gambhir is facing a lot of criticism for India’s poor performance in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Many hold head coach Gautam Gambhir responsible for the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy debacle. The tactics of the Indian cricket team were also questionable, and the team selection itself was not impressive throughout the series.
The batsmen of the Indian national cricket team have struggled to be consistent throughout the series. In the bowling department too, Jasprit Bumrah seemed to be the only one carrying the team as he barely got any support in the phases where the team had a chance to gain momentum.
While India’s performance throughout the series has been poor, there has been drama off the field as well. It is learned, according to reports, that head coach Gautam Gambhir wanted the team to play his way and told the players to also curb their natural game tactics.
