Idaho murders: The judge in the case, Bryan Kohberger, heard a request from the defense
The judge overseeing the Idaho homicide case in which suspect Bryan Kohberger is accused of killing four college students announced a hearing Wednesday, just hours before another hearing was scheduled for Thursday morning.
Kohberger, the man accused of brutality stabbing death of four University of Idaho students in November 2022, is challenging a trove of evidence in an attempt to prevent prosecutors from presenting it at trial.
Kohberger is accused of killing Madison Mogen, 21; Kaylee Goncalves, 21; Xana Kernodle, 20 years old; and Ethan Chapin, 20, in the 4 a.m. attack on Nov. 13, 2022. All four lived in a six-bedroom home just steps from the university campus.
Kohberger, dr. sc. a student at a nearby university Washington State University, he was arrested a few weeks later at his parents’ home in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Kohberger faces four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary in connection with the early-morning massacre, during which prosecutors say he snuck into a home near the University of Idaho campus and brutally killed four innocent students using a large knife.
