South African legend Ab de villiers Everyone will return to cricket with the second season of the Legends World Cup in July 2025. Will be led by Changers Games Changers South Africa in a tournament, which houses retired and without a contracting legend of the game.
De Villiers was last seen in action during the 2021 Indian Premier League season, presenting Royal Challengers Bengalur (RCB). On the other hand, his last match in South Africa’s shirt arrived in 2018 against Australia in Johannesburg.
The 40-year-old claimed that he felt the urge to play cricket again and would soon hit the gym to prepare for the tournament.
“Four years ago, I retired from all the crickets because I just didn’t feel the urge to play,” Ab de Villiers said in an official statement. “Well, the weather was over, and my young sons started playing the game. We played more and more often in the garden, and, well, it seems like some kind of flames are on again.”
“So I’m going back to the gym and nets, and I’ll be ready for the toilet in July,” he added.

Harshit Tomar, founder of the Legends World Cup, expressed his ecstasy by the AB de Villiers decision to join the tournament. He said that the main goal of the tournament was to return the legends, which all darling misses, back to the cricket field.
“This is why we launched the toilet – to bring back the legends we deeply miss. As a fan of Ab de Villiers, I am delighted to see him returning to the field. I am sure that the crisis lovers in England and wider Will Will be delighted with his return” , Tomar said in the said statement.
