At CES 2025, AUO is exhibiting innovative AmLED ® display technologies, powered by a range of Himax’s leading automotive technologies. One demo shows a 16-inch AmLED ® display incorporating Himax’s local dimming Tcon with bridge feature, the HX6630-B, achieving up to 50% energy savings, directly supporting ESG goals and setting the benchmark for sustainability. Additionally, it incorporates Himax’s third generation TDDI HX83195, powering the ultra-high resolution of 3.2K x 2K and providing instant touch response without delay for seamless user interaction, ideal for advanced HMI display designs. The second demo highlights the AmLED ® integrated dashboard display solution, integrating two 23-inch curved displays. It provides a seamless ultra-wide viewing experience powered by the Himax automotive DDIC HX82105-A, with high-speed data transfer through Himax’s premium P2P iSP interface, COF technology for free-form and curved designs, and large pole-to-pole display capability.

Complemented by Himax’s local dimming Tcon HX8880-F, which provides up to 4800 dimming zones, these AmLED ® technologies provide exceptional contrast. The HX8880-F also provides a privacy function with an active anti-glare mode for the passenger side display, increasing driver safety and focus. Combining superior display contrast, energy efficiency, instant touch response and driver protection features, AmLED ® display technologies improve visual clarity, passenger interaction and overall performance in the smart cockpit.
