At the same time, a person called ‘Mr. Fix it’ also grabbed the headlines. It was revealed that a player in the Indian team raised his hands and demanded the captaincy from Gambhir as Rohit Sharma struggled as both a batsman and a leader.

Gautam Gambhir blames Sarfaraz Khan

Earlier it was not clear who disclosed all the information to the media. According to News 24, Gautam Gambhir named Sarfaraz Khan as the main culprit who leaked all the information from the dressing room to the media.

Gambhir revealed this information to BCCI officials during a meeting after India’s loss in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. India captain Rohit Sharma and chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar were also present in the meeting.

India’s chief selector was confident that Sarfaraz Khan had given all the information. The news is likely to affect Sarfaraz’s career and it remains to be seen what action the BCCI will take against the young cricketer.

What happened at the Melbourne test?

Gautam Gambhir was reportedly furious with Team India after they lost seven wickets in the final session on Day 5 in Melbourne and lost the match in a shocking manner. As a result, India’s head coach blamed the team for the shock defeat.

The match was tied after Rishabh Pant and Yashasvi Jaiswal took a wicketless second session. However, Pant’s goal became the turning point of the match. The keeper’s shot was ruled out as he tried to clear Travis Head’s ball out of the park and was caught deep.
