As 2025 unfolds, Team India is set for an action-packed cricket calendar, featuring a series of high-stakes matches and tournaments. The schedule includes a final exam Granica-Gavaskar Trophybilateral series against England and the ICC Champions Trophy, before the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
Granica-Gavaskar Trophy
The year begins with the final Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test against Australia from January 3-7 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). This match is crucial for India as it could significantly affect their chances of qualifying for the finals of the ICC Test World Cup.
India vs England series
After their Australian tour, India will host England for a bilateral series that includes both T20Is and ODIs:
T20I Series:
- 1st T20I: January 22, Kolkata
- 2nd T20I: January 25, Chennai
- 3rd T20I: January 28, Rajkot
- 4th T20I: January 31, Pune
- 5th T20I: February 2, Mumbai
ODI Series:

India’s participation in the ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Dubai from February 20 to March 9. The group stage matches include:
- Vs Bangladesh: February 20
- Against Pakistan: February 23
- Vs New Zealand: March 2
IPL 2025
After Champions trophythe players will focus on the IPL, which is scheduled from March 14 to May 25. This tournament not only showcases local talent, but also serves as a platform for international stars to shine.
In total, Team India will play one Test, 5 T20Is and 3 ODIs in bilateral series before the 2025 Champions Trophy and a maximum of five ODIs (if they reach the final) at the ICC event.
