Fulham vs Ipswich: Preview, Predictions and Lineups
Ipswich Town will be looking to build on their huge win over Chelsea when they visit Fulham in their first away game of the new year.
The Tractor Boys travel to west London on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League after securing their first home win of the season the last time. The result moved them closer to safety, but Kieran McKenna’s side are still firmly in the relegation zone. Any point at Craven Cottage would be welcomed with open arms.
Fulham are undefeated in seven matches, but victories have not always been easy. They have drawn four of their last five in the Premier League and sit within the top half of the table while still flying under the radar.

Fulham are without four players for their trip to Ipswich on Sunday afternoon, with Reiss Nelson, Kenny Tete and Sander Berge all missing. The latter is expected to return to midfield soon, but will not play against the Tractor Boys.
Similarly, Harrison Reed is also unavailable despite nearing a return. The midfielder has returned to training, but is not ready for the game as he has been out since the beginning of November with a knee problem.
Predicted line-up of Fulham against Ipswich (4-2-3-1): lazy; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Pereira, Lukić; Wilson, Smith Rowe, Iwobi; Jimenez.
Ipswich will be without the services of Chiedozie Ogbene for the remainder of the campaign. Axel Tuanzebe, George Hirst and Conor Chaplin are currently accompanying him in the treatment room.
Massimo Luongo is questionable whether he will make the squad for the match against Fulham due to illness. However, he has rarely featured for Ipswich this season, even when fit.
Christian Walton is likely to keep his place in goal ahead of error-prone Arijanet Murić after an impressive performance and clean sheet against Chelsea the last time.
Predicted line-up for Ipswich vs Fulham (4-2-3-1): Walton; O’Shea, Woolfenden, Greaves, Davis; Morsy, Cajuste; Burns, Hutchinson, Szmodics; Delap.
Fulham have only been beaten four times this season, but they have struggled at times against so-called ‘lesser’ opposition. Their 1-1 draw against Ipswich in the reverse fixture is a perfect example, with the Cottagers occasionally lacking the relentless firepower to punish their foes.
Ipswich have won two of their last four and have been slightly better away than at home this season, potentially taking the opportunity to frustrate Fulham on Sunday. It will be a close game that is unlikely to boast too many goals, but the visitors could pick up a crucial point in their bid to overcome the drop.
