Verbal fireworks exploded on Wednesday at the hearing of the Senate Finance Committee, the first two days of hearing to confirm the Congress for the controversial crusader of skeptics and the environment, which ran for the White House in 2024 before ending his offer and approved Trump.
Kennedy has repeatedly insisted that he is not “anti-split” and scored more democratic senators for pushing “dishonest” narrative against him who repeatedly “corrected” on national television. Democrats in the committee pointed to a number of past comments by candidates in which he questioned or belittled the Kovads of the recording and other vaccines.
On Thursday he returns to Capitol hill for hearing in front of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Work and Pensions. It is considered a kind hearing because only the Senate Finance Committee will vote about Kennedy’s confirmation.
Because Republicans control the Senate of most 53-47, Kennedy can only afford to lose the support of three GOP senators if Democrats unite against his certificate. During the hearing on Wednesday, the Republicans did not seem to be opposed to the nomination.
