David Warner applies for the PSL 10 draft
Australian cricket star David Warner entered the Pakistan Super League Official Player Draft for Season 10 Warner has now become the 23rd international player to sign up for the 10th edition of the league.
Pakistani cricket Board released the news on their social media account which read: “ENDS 2024. ULTIMATE. Australian powerhouse David Warner has applied for the PSL draft.” News of the draft day has already started creating a buzz among cricket fans.
Warner is joined in the draft by fellow Australians Usman Khawaja, Matthew Short, Sean Abbott and Alex Carey, along with a host of international players from around the world.
A look at Warner’s impressive career
David Warner is rightly considered a legend in the history of Australian cricket. In Test matches, he has an impressive tally of 8786 runs from 112 matches. In ODIs, Warner scored 6932 runs in 161 matches. And let’s not ignore his contribution in T20Is, where he smashed 3,277 runs in 110 games, including one century and 28 half-centuries.
Warner is currently leading the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League and is in his sharpest form yet. He recently hit 86 off 57 balls for Melbourne Renegades, with two sixes and 10 boundaries, and was awarded man of the match.
PSL 10 Draft will be held in Gwada
The much awaited player draft for PSL 10 is scheduled for 11 January 2025 in the picturesque city of Gwadar, Balochistan. Earlier this month, the PCB opened the registration and trade window for foreign players and the list is shaping up to be a star-studded one.

The order of platinum draft picks has already been determined. Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, get the first pick, followed by Karachi Kings. Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi will be picking third and fourth place respectively, while Multan Sultans and Islamabad United round out the standings.
