In a very real sense, Hegsetth is qualified because he is not “qualified”. Almost everyone who checked the boxes McConnell, Murkowski and Collins demand would come from the same wetland that made our army weaker in the name of diversity.

Hegsetth has the opportunity to repair the army the way Trump wants because the American people chose Trump to do so exactly.
