Over the past few years, Democratic politicians have convinced themselves that they never have to answer hostile questions, and in the middle tragic hell in Californiathis rejection is rightfully infuriating.
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is just the latest Democrat to know nothing and play dumb when asked perfectly legitimate questions. After interrupting the trip to Ghana, Bass just kept quiet when asked if she should have been in the city leading instead of traveling the world.
Bass later held a press conference, presumably to answer questions from reporters. But she used it to insist once again that this was not the time to question her leadership.
Also, California Assembly Speaker Robert Rivasa leading proponent of using California’s resources to thwart Trump’s agenda and a candidate for the deafest politician in America, held a press conference as the fires raged.

He was asked, “Is now the right time for a special legislative session to allocate money to fight Trump?”
Amidst a gurgling, rustling, and stuttering that would have made Bob Newhart say, “just spit it out, man,” he replied, “These, uh, uh, uh, these historic fires are, uh, uh, uh,” and he got worse than there. At no point did he even vaguely try to answer the question.
Later Friday, Gov. Gavin Newsom had the opportunity to stare blankly as he was asked about the fires, this time not by the media, but by A California resident whose daughter’s school just burned down.
“I’m literally talking to the president right now to answer specifically what we can do for you and your daughter,” Newsom, who cut the state fire prevention budget by $100 million just a few months ago, said the shaken mother.
But when she asked the governor to put the call on speaker, Newsom said he had no service and was walking around trying to get a cellphone signal.

If that doesn’t sum up the incompetence of the response from California Democratic politicians, then I don’t know what does.
And speaking of soon-to-be former President Joe Biden, where do you think Bass, Rivas and Newsom learned that they are under no obligation to answer questions? That’s right, from Scranton Joe.
Not only does Biden refuse to answer questions, he regularly verbally lashes out at any reporter, and let’s be honest, usually only Fox News Channel’s Peter Doocy or Real Clear Politics’ Phillip Wegman dare to ask tough questions.

Then there’s Vice President Kamala Harris, who ran for president giving fewer interviews than the winner of the Minnesota State Fair’s ice sculpture contest.
Like Sergeant Schultz in “Hogan’s Heroes,” these Democrats just screw up their serious faces and declare, “I know nothing!” while most of the media lap it up like they’re receiving pearls of wisdom from the Delphi Oracle.

These Democrats are like a baseball hitter who sees a foul ball, calls a timeout, and says, “I’m only accepting fastballs up the middle today.”
Perhaps the members of the party of Jefferson and Jackson should realize that they are rapidly losing confidence and elections, precisely because while Donald Trump is holding two-hour press conferences in which he solves every question asked, they are kicking themselves and saying: “now is not the right time.”
So, when is the right time to ask about California’s incompetent leadership? When will the next fires get out of control? In fact, there will never be a good time for these selfish navel-gazers to answer questions. They are above that. And above us.

There have been some signs this week, embers if you will, that the media has become fed up with these Democrats who refuse to explain themselves and their actions. Let’s hope the outrage spreads and these politicians hold their feet to the fire.
The people of California and the people of America deserve better. We deserve leaders who will honestly and exhaustively explain to their voters what our government is doing. But the Democrats don’t want that, they want unquestionable power and authority. What they have yet to realize is that this is why they are on a losing streak.
