Crystal Palace are in talks to sign ace Glasner worth £48k-p/w
The Crystal Palace they are now reportedly in talks to land the exciting free agent as they look to bolster their ranks Oliver Glasnerand the player himself wants to move to London and Premier League.
Crystal Palace transfer rumours
Entering the January transition period, Glasner made it clear what he expected in terms of transfers in South London.
“It is clear, and we have committed ourselves that we want to sign two players — two different positions. The profiles are clear. The players are set up. Now we just have to make the deals. We have a clear commitment to sign two new players.”
One of those positions they look to improve on appears to be at left-back, where they have no natural replacements for Tyrick Mitchell should he get injured, while in the long term a new addition would also protect them due to the reported high interest in the Englishman.
El Hadji Malick Diouf appears to be their first choice at the club after Slavia Prag had already rejected the offer it is believed to have been worth around 15 million euros.
The other position they seem to be targeting is wide forward, which the club also had Liverpool have rejected a £15m bid for teenage striker Ben Doak the last days.
It is not clear whether they will be able to take him away from the Reds, and in effect loan him to Middlesbrough, in the coming weeks. Arne Slott’s side are believed to be waiting in excess of £30million to even consider a deal amid widespread interest. However, Palace seem to be doing better in another job.
Crystal Palace in negotiations regarding a free transfer
It comes after reports in Turkey claim Crystal Palace are in talks to sign him long term goal of Bright Osayi-Samuel on a free transfer this summer as they look to strengthen their squad.
Nigerian defender A £48k-a-week contract with Fenerbahce expires at the end of the current campaign, and although the Turkish side want to keep him, the report adds that the defender is “keen to return to London to reunite with his partner”, after spending several seasons with Queens Park Rangers.

To that end, Palace present an attractive proposition, with Osayi-Samuel even reported to have been at Selhurst Park last week to watch his future new team in action against Arsenal, with the Eagles now “in talks over a transfer with the right-back”. as they want to conclude a summer contract for him.
An attacking right-back by trade, Osayi-Samuel would offer excellent cover for Daniel Munoz and could also be played further forward if required, having spent his career playing up and down both flanks.

During his last stay in England, he was singled out by former boss Mark Warburton for his “fast” pacewho said after one strong performance: “He’s been very good in spells in games but today he was consistent from the first whistle until the 75th minute. I’m not sure many teams have that fast pace. As long as he knows how to use it and that’s the key for him learning the game.”
Available for free, the 27-year-old could be a very smart signing for the Eagles as they look to continue to improve under Glasner.
