Club boss travels to make last-ditch bid to sign ‘untouchable’ £17m Fulham ace

There is a little more than a week left until the closing of the January transfer window, Fulham will now reportedly face a last-ditch effort to lure them into selling one of the Marko Silvastar people.

Fulham transfer news

While the Cottagers have endured a quiet transfer window so far, reports suggest they could yet be revived in the dying embers with the likes of Emerson Royal threatening to steal the headlines. The west London club have reportedly set up a meeting to secure the signature of the right-back who could become the latest ex Premier League fighting to join Silva at Craven Cottage.

After struggling at Tottenham Hotspur, Royal swapped the North London side for AC Milan only to find themselves in the doldrums with the arrival of Kyler Walker. Now he could return to English football thanks to Fulham – a place where several stars have found their feet.

The former Spurs man could follow in the footsteps of the likes of Alexander Iwobi by rediscovering his best form at Craven Cottage, but it remains to be seen whether he completes a move in January.

Meanwhile, as one new star potentially arrives, another may still depart. According to ESPN in Brazil, as reported by Sport Witness, Fluminense legal manager Leonardo Holanda is now traveling to make one last-ditch effort to sign Andreas Pereira from Fulham this month.

Fulham now join the race to sign new in-demand Palhinha who repeats for Silva

He should be watched…

The west Londoners have reportedly slapped a €20m (£17m) price tag on their midfielder, but Palmeiras plan to soften their stance by offering to pay in installments and include performance-related bonuses in their offer.

While any such offer may be tempting for those behind the scenes at Fulham, Silva he quickly poured cold water on any rumors surrounding the Brazilian’s future earlier this month, telling reporters via West London Sport: “Totally false. I don’t usually talk about situations like this, but I think it’s time to be clear: it’s completely false that there was an increased offer or something like that.

“I spoke to the board yesterday – and absolutely zero. We are a bit surprised how this news came out of nowhere. What we can control is ourselves and our work and what we can do.”

Fulham must continue to defend against the interest of Pereira

In the midst of an excellent campaign so far, which could yet end in shock European qualification, the last thing Fulham need is Pereira leaving mid-season.

If reports are to be believed that the Fluminense representatives will make the final trip, then it should be the last time Fulham have to turn down the Brazilian side’s advances for Pereira, who still has a big role to play at Craven Cottage.

Previously called “untouchables”. Silva 2022, not much has changed for Pereira at Fulham almost three years later. He remains an integral part of Fulham’s ambitions and does not appear to be someone they are too keen to sell this month, even as the Fluminese make a final push for his signature.
