ICC Champions Trophy, guide for team of Group B: Fighting in England, injuries affected by Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan | Current news

On the eve of the ICC champion trophy – live on Sky Sports from February 19 to March 9 – we look at the sides in Group B: England, Australia, South Africa and Afghanistan.
England
from Adam Williams
Best result: Winners (2004, 2013)
Result 2017: Semifinalists
Main Coach: Brandon McCullum
Detachment: Jos Buttler (Captain), Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Tom Banton, Harry Brook, Brydon Case, Ben Duckett, Jamie Overton, Jamie Smith, Liam Livingstone, Adil Root, Joe Root, Saqib Mahmood, Phil Salt, Mark Wood.
Bowler to watch
Adil Rashid. The final furlong is potentially for the leading Spinner of his generation in England as he watched the chances of playing a major role in turning the field in Pakistan.
Probably the first name on a team list, Rashid will want to add another ICC winner medal in his collection after playing key roles at the ODA 2019 World Cup and 2022 World Cup.
Viewing dough
Harry Brook. On his latest trip to Pakistan in English, Yorkshireman has prepared a triple hundred of hundreds. Unfortunately, England will not return to Multan this time, but Brook will want to continue its excellent record in the country. He will hope that he will go through the gears and as needed.
Outlook
We hope that the better return than its last experience at the ICC 50 subcontinent competition: World Cup 2023 in India.
The English defense of this title was a good lack of expectations and involved the humiliating defeat of the group phase of Afghanistan, with whom he would face in the midst of a political controversy between heavy tests against Australia and South Africa.
Because at the end of the reception series in India, where the lack of cohesion and a clear plan were visible, it will do little to increase expectations. But, as always with a BAZBALL, expect unexpectedly.

Best result: Winners (2006, 2009)
Result 2017: Knocked out in a group stage
Main Coach: Andrew McDonald
Detachment: Steve Smith (Captain), Sean Abbott, Alex Carey, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Ellis, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Aaron Hardie, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Spencer Johnson, Marus Labuschagne, Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Short, Adam. Passenger Reserve: Cooper Connolly.
Bowler to watch
Leg Adam Zamp. One) because he is good and two), because the stings stitch are Pat Cummins (injured), Josh Hazlewood (injured) and Mitchell Starc (personal reasons) emerge, deprived of the team of the entire temple attack that won the 2023 World Cup.
Zamp has scored 23 shots during this tournament and may need to be fertile again with the Australian options of the talented seam – Nathan Ellis, for one, has an abundance of tricks – but an inexperienced Odis.
Viewing dough
Travis Head scored in the World Cup final against India, and Australia will find it big at the top of the order but Steve Smith Should be the adhesive that holds everything together.
Smith returned to Peak Form in a test crice after a lean magic, peeled four tons in five games, while also smoking a great tone for Sydney Sixers. Certainly, different formats, but his class should say again.
Outlook
Australia is so good at winning global tournaments, but this one could be a move with so much absence with big names, including Cameron Green (injured), Mitchell Marsh (injured) and Marcus Stoinis (retired).
Recent convincing defeats on Sri Lanka side, which has not even qualified for the champion trophy will hardly grow confidence. Still with Smith, head and stuck around, not to mention Glenn Maxwell – destructive with a baton, capable with the ball, stunning on the field – it would be stupid to write them off.

Afghanistan
from Adam Williams
Best result: Tournament debut
Result 2017: On
Main Coach: Jonathan Trott
Detachment: Hashmatullah Shahidi (Captain), Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah garbaz, Sediquelh Atal, Rahmat Shah, Ikram Alikhil, Gulbadin Naib, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Nervad, Neanga Run. Reserves: Darwish Rasoololi, Bilal alone.
Bowler to watch
Rashid Khan. For someone who has already entered their international and globetrotting T20 franchise, it is amazing to see that Spinner’s leg is still only 26.
The Talisman’s ball leader who will take on a prominent role in the absence of colleague Spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman, who is left out of this team. He can take a new ball as well as playing a role later in Ubacs, and also has a sense of contributing quickfire that lower the order with a baton.
Viewing dough
Sediquelh Atal. The left rise opener, which he also recently introduced for Mi Cape Town in SA20.
Contributed to the tone and a half centuries in the Zimbabwe Zimbabwe -winning victory in December to book his place in this squad. Set open a hit by Ibrahim Zadran, who returned from ankle injury late last year.
Outlook
More than able to persecute a surprise (or two!) And have an outdoor chance of reaching the semifinals, as they did at last year’s T20 World Cup in West India.
Pakistani Legend Younis Khan has been appointed mentor and could offer some invaluable insight into the conditions and control of the side of the side that can often release good opportunities due to one -off mistakes or decay at concentration.
I will hope that it will not be at the reception end of the second Maxwell Masterclass when faced with Australia after the right-winging amazing 201 did not give up on 128 balls secured a stunning victory in the 2023 World Cup group stage.

Best result: Winners (1998)
Result 2017: Knocked out in a group stage
Main Coach: Rob Walter
Detachment: Tembo Bavuma (Captain), Corbin Bosch, Tony de Zorzi, Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markkram, David Miller, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabanie, Trickelton, Tabras, Trabes, Tricselton, Tricselton, Tricselton , Tricselton, Tricselton, Tricsen ,. Passenger Reserve: Kwen Maphak.
Bowler to watch
South Africa has a balanced attack with each base seemingly covered but Kagiso Rabada is the leader of the Tempo -eating, bragging about 162 Wickeke in his 103 PLO to this day.
Rabada is fresh of four Wickket in the SA20 final for Mi Cape Town, when he was better than Pal Pal Marc Jansen, who played for Sunrizers Eastern Cape.
Still, Jansen ended the tournament as a leading ticket with 19 victims in 13 matches, and his left-hand stitch from high height could cause opponents of the champion trophy and his lower middle row he hit.
Viewing dough
Heinrich Klaasen. If Klaasen and Jansen bring with a stick over the next few weeks, beware! These two give the ball almighty murder with Klaasen, who has achieved half a century in each of the last four ODOs, including 87 out of 56 balls against Pakistan in Karachi last week, a scope that included 11 squares and three six.
He also achieved fifty -more results in his previous two play against England, recently in October 2023, when he organized 109 from 67 balls in the World Cup in Mumbai in Mumbai. England Skipper Buttler made a bizarre decision to first buy in extreme heat and was brought in by the red hot Klaasen.
Outlook
Despite the terrible fiery power, the recent ride of South Africa in Gobo Posi was, well, awful. Six defeats on three and 16 losses in 25 since he reached the semifinals of the 2023 World Cup.
The warning is that Proteas were not able to set foreign power due to other cricket obligations.
Their team is once again compounded, as they play exhausted Australia, awfully extraordinarily England and Afghan side that they demolished in last year’s T20 Cup semi -finals, South Africa will expect to arrive in the last four here.
