Chris Lynn was stunned when Riley Meredith smashed his helmet and suffered a terrifying blow
Adelaide Strikers batsman Chris Lynn has been a shining light for his side in the ongoing match against Hobart Hurricanes in the 2024-25 Big Bash League (BBL). The match between these two teams will be played on Sunday (January 5) at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
Lynn, who opened the innings for Adelaide Strikers, played a crucial innings for his team in the ongoing match between Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes. The Australian batsman was at his brutal best and was demolishing bowlers all over the park setting up the opposition.

But the Adelaide Strikers forward hasn’t had the start he would have liked. Chris Lynn took a nasty hit on the head during the first over and was lying on the ground. Fortunately, things didn’t get any worse for him, as he stood up after the check-up and started hitting again.
On the last ball of the first over, Riley Meredith hit a menacing short ball which was delivered at a quick pace. Lynn looked to duck but was smashed against the helmet and all the Hobart Hurricanes players came over to check on the Adelaide Strikers batsman.
Lynn looked a little shaken after the impact and was lying on the ground. Fortunately, he looked fine as a physical therapist rushed out to examine him. The batsman passed the mandatory check and was given the all-clear to continue batting after dealing with a life-threatening strike.

After taking the knock, Chris Lynn appeared to be fine and looked in menacing form. The Adelaide Strikers batsman gave his brutal best with the bat as he ensured he got his team off to a flying start with the bat, hitting the bowlers with utmost ease in all corners of the park.

Lynn looked set for a half-century but the batsman fell just one run short of the milestone. The batsman returned to the game after scoring 49 runs off 27 balls. He hit 5 fours and 3 sixes in his innings, batting at a strike rate of around 182.
Lynn was removed by Waqar Salamkheil in the 9th over and it was a huge sigh of relief for the team. The bowler bowled a wider outside off which was a googly. He made Lynn reach for it and he mistimed it to deep square leg.
The Adelaide Strikers had a great outing with the bat as they amassed a mammoth total of 186 runs. Along with Chris Lynn, captain Ollie Pope, who played a decent hand of 33, and Alex Ross, who scored 47 runs, led the team to a big total on the board.
