In a battle between two powerhouse teams, Travis Head felt it was crucial to make an impact whenever possible. He emphasized the importance of building a strong partnership with Usman Khawaja, which helped Australia secure a commanding position in the game.
Travis Head said after the SCG Test: “It’s nice to contribute; I don’t worry too much about the results. Two great teams; I felt like it would be nice if I could go out and contribute. Same approach as always; I felt I was moving well and I knew we would be in a good position if I could build a partnership with Usman.”
Acknowledging India’s good performances, especially during their previous tour and even in challenging conditions like Perth, Head praised their ability to push Australia to the back burner at times. It was a crazy five Tests; guys who passed all five are probably looking forward to the time off. There was also a lot of media attention.
