Arsenal v Tottenham ‘as big as they come’ for Postecoglou
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says Wednesday’s north London derby against Arsenal is “as big as it’s ever been” as he looks for a rare away win in the game.
Spurs have won just one of their last 31 Premier League away games against Arsenal, the last coming in November 2010.
Both sides have been plagued by injuries of late, with Tottenham needing extra time at the weekend to beat non-league side Tamworth.
Former Celtic manager Postecoglou says this week’s game is the perfect opportunity for them to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.

He said: “I felt it was intense from the moment I arrived, but at the same time I never tried to be disingenuous about these things and say ‘this means a lot to me’ when I literally just arrived.
“But you understand the context of the game and what it means to the club, what it means to the fans and also what it means to our season.
“From that perspective, I was aware of that from the first time we played them. A bit like me in Glasgow, you are well aware of what that means, well aware of the consequences – both positive and negative.
“I was big on it from the first game, and this year is the biggest than ever, especially for us and our season.
“We have to start winning games in the league and there is no better place to start.”
Spurs last won in the league before Christmas and have won just three of their last 13 games in all competitions. Their injury problems have seen Timo Werner added to the list, but Richarlison is available to face Arsenal – who have their own problems.
“With the position we are in at the moment in the league, regardless of the milestones, we have to start winning games and move up the table,” Postecoglou said.
“Even though it’s a big challenge for us tomorrow night, there’s an opportunity to do it.”
