CHANGZHOU, China, January 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Arctech, a leading global supplier of solar tracking and racking solutions, announced that it has signed a supply agreement with NORINCO Internationalpart China North Industries Corporation. Under this contract, Arctech will supply its signature 1P single-axis SkyLine II solar tracking system for a 125 MW solar project located near Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), marking a significant milestone for Arctech on the European solar market.
Bosnia and Herzegovinawhich is located in Southeast Europereceives an average annual solar radiation of approximately 1,500 kWh/m2, offering considerable potential for the development of utility-scale solar projects. According to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the country is projected to have a photovoltaic energy production potential of up to 3 GW by 2030. In recent years, the local government has launched a comprehensive set of policies, with the Framework Energy Strategy of Bosnia and Herzegovina to 2035 clearly setting targets for the share of renewable energy in the national combination of electricity production.
