“It will be amazing to return to Baton Rouge, a community that means so much to me,” Reese said in a statement. “LSU played a key role in preparing for WNBA, and I can’t wait to hit the field in front of Tigers and Sky fans.”
Reese has become a tag in LSU LORA After they transferred the Tigers to the National Championship 2023. Over Caitlin Clark and Iowa Hawkeyes.
“We are excited to host WNBA games in May with Chicago Sky and Angel Reese,” said LSU coach Kim Mulkey. “Angel played a big role in establishing our program on LSU, and I know that our fans will be excited to bring her back to PMAC. She had such a great season of Rokie, and we couldn’t wait to keep watching her in the WNBA.”
That title game contained Reese’s current Clark, who pulled out a lot of criticism and launched a unofficial rivalry between the two.
Clark rejected any idea that Reese “should be criticized at all” after the fact, but the two went hand in hand in conversations around women’s basketball, both on the floor and outside the floor.
Reese’s teammate Kamilla Cardoso will oppose her home team. It was the third choice of drafts, behind Clark and Cameron Brink, after ending up with southern Karolin with an undefeated season.
“I’m so excited to play against my former Brazilian national team,” Cardoso said. “Brazil played such an important role in my life and shaped the person I am today. Playing for the sky against my former team gives me a wonderful opportunity to connect with my roots and play in front of old friends and teammates.”
