The temporary main coach of Pakistan Aaqib JAVE has opened on the performance of the team in the current World Cup cycle in the test (WTC). Javed believes that men in Green would be in a dispute for a place in the WTC final, that better decisions were made earlier.
The former fast bowlers also defended the switching team from Pace Spin Bowling in recent home tests. Pakistan has prepared rankings during the last few tests at home and continued to accept the same strategy for a series that is underway against West India.
AAQIB is the jedi on the performance of Pakistan in the current WTC cycle
While talking to journalists on the eve of the second test between Pakistan and West Indies, Aaqib Javed asked about the effect of the team in the entire WTC cycle. Javed wants his team to win every test at home because he realizes that the main goal of the World Cup is in the test to manage well at home.
“People question the direction of our test cricken. If the better decisions had been made earlier, we might be in the WTC final or at least could be in the race,” Javed said.
“The main goal of the World Test Championship is to win at home at all costs. If you win at home and manage to beat at least 2-3 foreign tests, then you are a strong candidate for the finals,” he noticed.

Pakistan was not at best in home tests in this WTC cycle. They lost 0-2 in Bangladesh after the T20 World Cup in 2024 and then lost in England in the first series of series.
They even lost the series in Australia and South Africa in this cycle to worship from the race for the World Cup World Championship finals. Currently, the eighth is among the nine teams on the WTC ladder.
AAQIB JAVED defends Pakistan’s strategy for awarding to home
