The remains of an indigenous woman who killed a serial killer found at a landfill in Canada, confirmed by authorities
The remains of an indigenous woman killed by a convicted serial killer three years ago were found at a landfill in Central Canada, the local authorities confirmed after a months -long search.
Morgan Harris She was one of the indigenous women killed by Jeremy Skibicki, who served multiple life sentence after being convicted of four murders last year.
Skibicki introduced his victims in homeless shelters, in a case that is considered a symbol of the danger that the native women in Canada face, where they disproportionately become a victim of violence, called “Genocide” national public research in 2019.
The testimony at the trial of Skibicki said that in 2022 he raped, killed and disassembled Harris and another woman, Marcedes Myran.

Police believed that their remains were thrown out at the Green Waste Outlet, north of Winnipeg, the capital of the Province of Manitoba.
Last month, the authorities announced that the remains of two bodies had been found at the site. Late on Friday they confirmed that one set were Harris.
Manitoba Police “confirmed that human remains found in searching a green waste landfill on the prairie identified as those Morgan Beatrice Harris of Long Plain FIRST NATION” in a statement on Friday.
The identification of the second set of remains will be published “as the facts are confirmed,” he added.
The body of another Skibickija victims, Rebecca Contois, was found at a separate landfill and in the trash bin, while the remains of the fourth unidentified victims in its 20th are still missing.
In a post on social networks, Harris’s daughter called the identification of the mother’s remains of a “bitter moment”.
“She comes home just as we said from the beginning … We fought with our hearts and now her spirit can rest,” said Cambria Harris.
The Harris and Myrana families have been pushed by the authorities in Manitoba to search the bodies.
Prime Minister of Manitobe Wab Kinew, the first native person to run the Canadian province, said “Morgan Harris, we respect you” in a post on social media.
