A new wildfire has broken out in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, a fire chief told Reuters

(Reuters) – A new wildfire has broken out in the scrubland of Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles Fire Chief Kristin Crowley said at a news conference on Wednesday, adding to five other fires raging in Los Angeles County.

The fires that broke out on Tuesday killed at least five people, destroyed hundreds of homes and stretched firefighting resources and water supplies to the limit, while more than 100,000 people were ordered to evacuate.
