Japanese emergency services on Tuesday fought for hours to save the truck driver who was immersed in massively hole near Tokyo.
Authorities in the city of Yashio, Saitama, received calls at about 9:50 in the morning (0050 GMT), saying that the road was pushed and a truck fell.
“Since then, we have been performing a rescue surgery,” said AFP Fire Department spokesman at about seven hours later.

The team initially planned to save the driver by entering the garden, but two members were slightly injured while trying to do so.
