1.10 Favorite Friday – The Fitnessista
I’m sharing this week’s roundup of Friday favorites and praying for all my friends affected by the California wildfires. If you are looking for ways to help, see this link.
Hello friends! happy friday! How was your week? I hope it was great. It was the first week the kids were back at school and while waking up was hard, we were all officially back into the routine. We also got a random blast of cold and the temperature went from 70 degrees to 30! BLAH.
(Roses bloomed like crazy with the warmer weather)
The big highlight of the week was Liv turning 13. I can’t even believe it. They say time flies, and it’s true. She was always an introspective, kind, brilliant star and it was amazing to watch her grow. She makes the BEST impressions, she’s sarcastic and hilarious, with the sweetest, kindest heart.
We had a family dinner to celebrate and everyone came, and instead of a big party, she asked for a field trip, so we’re going for that next week!
Huge cheese board for celebrations:
and my baby’s fever is out of control but the pilot says we are done lol.
(Our little niece, Daisy!)
Some recent adventures:
A feast of Indian saffron food
Hiking in the Sabino Canyon
and a trip to the desert museum with friends.
It’s time for the weekly Faves party on Fridays! This is where I share some of my favorite finds from the week and around the web. I always love to hear about your favorites too, so shout out something you like in the comments section below.
1.10 Favorite Friday
Fashion + Beauty + Random:
Another moment of silence for these jeans. They were super cheap, great quality and true to size.
So many of you bought this perfect sweater dress! I love it.
This body lotion is the holy grail. Liv *borrowed* mine, so I ordered another one.
This sweater is cute for Valentine’s Day. I also examine this.
Read, watch, listen:
I am reading this book right now and I am 100% hooked.
Three light lunches on weekdays.
Fitness, health, life and good nutrition:
I wore a CGM last few weeks and it was good to check my blood sugar. It’s been on a bit of a high lately, so I’ve been trying to hack it and next week I’m talking to the Nutrisens nutritionist to see if he has any ideas. This can be an amazing and empowering tool! If you are interested in wearing a CGM (or booking a visit with a nutritionist – they are often covered by insurance) use this link and code GINA50.
This lasagna soup looks fantastic.
The January detox starts this Monday, but you can join the fun anytime. My code is FITNESSISTA10 if you want to join.
*I am working on a new program that will be launched in February and I can’t wait to share it with you!! To get first dibs, make sure you’re on my newsletter list.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have an amazing weekend and see you soon!
xoxo
